About The Practice

Counseling, Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR & Pain Reprocessing Treatment

Many of my clients grew up with emotionally unavailable or inconsistent caregivers. As a result, they learned to over-function, suppress their own needs, and strive for control as a way to feel safe or worthy. Over time, this can show up as:

  • Chronic people-pleasing

  • Trouble setting or maintaining boundaries

  • Patterns of burnout, anxiety, or emotional disconnection

  • Difficulty forming or maintaining fulfilling relationships

  • Quiet but persistent feelings of shame, self-doubt, or “not enough”

Therapy at True Reflections is a space to finally slow down, be fully seen, and begin healing from the inside out.

Services

My Approach

EMDR & Trauma Specialist | Adult & Young Adult Focus

As a clinician with over 30 years of experience, I bring a deeply compassionate and nonjudgmental presence to my work with adults and emerging adults. I specialize in supporting clients through trauma, substance use, identity challenges, and periods of profound life transition.

Many of my clients come to therapy feeling lost, overwhelmed, or stuck in cycles they don’t fully understand—especially after years of surviving through achievement, caregiving, or emotional self-sacrifice. Her approach is rooted in helping individuals explore the deeper stories that shape their lives, and reconnect with a sense of inner stability and self-trust.

I draw from evidence-based modalities including EMDR, psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches.

I have extensive experience working with:

  • Anxiety Disorders

  • Childhood and relational trauma

  • Codependency and people-pleasing patterns

  • Substance use and recovery support

  • Major life transitions and identity shifts in adulthood

I feel I am especially attuned to those who feel like they’ve been “doing the work” for years, yet still carry unresolved pain—or those who are just beginning to explore how past experiences have shaped their present.

My goal is to offer a space where you don’t have to perform, protect, or pretend—just be human, and begin healing from there.
